Golden Nugget Atlantic City first opened its doors in 1985 as Trump’s Castle in Atlantic City, New Jersey and was then renamed Trump Marina in 1997. The property was bought from Trump Entertainment Resorts by Landry’s in 2011 and was given its current name at this time.

A transmitter tower and broadcast facilities sit on the roof of the casino, belonging to WWFP 90.5 fm. This broadcasts Christian music and is owned by the Calvary Chapel of Marlton and licensed to Brigantine, New Jersey.
